Combination systems are used to test engines, transmissions, and cooling systems. Along with burst pressure tests, gear oil or coolant impulse testing is performed. Each test in the system has its own test circuit. Each test circuit is done on a separate medium. The test findings indicate the allowed impulse burst pressure.
The tests can be conducted at a temperature as medium as +135 °C RT. The system is self-monitoring when it is in use. The system will shut down in response to disturbances, which will be indicated by the monitor and signal lamps. A system for automatically detecting test failures is employed.
