Weathering Testing Chambers (Constamatic® SC)
This environmental simulation device series includes automatically controlled cabinet devices of the types A-SC for performing tests such as DIN EN ISO 9227 (formerly DIN 50021). The units can be equipped with individual operating systems or can be supplied as combination testers.
About DIN EN ISO 9227 (formerly DIN 50021):
This standard describes the spraying of a saline solution in the chamber at 35°C or 50°C chamber temperature. The NaCl solution can be added with acetic acid and copper chloride to further tighten the mechanisms of action in the generation of corrosion.
The fine salt mist is reflected on the samples and allows them to corrode. An acid test solution ensures a further acceleration of the reaction.
