Autofrettage system for high-pressure applications PPM 320

Autofrettage system for high-pressure applications PPM 320

Autofrettage Machines up to 15,0000 bar.
Explain Autofrettage. Enhance component fatigue strength under pulsating pressures. Autofrettage is the process of improving a component’s fatigue strength for use at high pulse pressures. In general, Autofrettage compresses a container’s internal surface to maximize the material’s structural qualities. This approach lowers fatigue in pulsing applications and allows for a reduction in tubing thickness in high-pressure applications while maintaining strength, safety, and longevity.

The autofrettage process relies on the reciprocal relationship between the elastically deformed outer zone and the plasticized interior zone. The components are crushed to the point that the interiors exhibit plastic deformation. Following relaxation, these regions experience pressure pressures, which prevent the surrounding regions from returning to their previous structure. Rather, it remains prolonged. By extending the component’s service life and reducing crack formation in subsequent applications, cost savings are also possible.

For High-pressure Components
Poppe + Potthoff Maschinenbau provides equipment for precisely defined Autofrettage of prototypes and standard components under a continual shift of high and low pressures.
